Please congratulate our 8th grade B & C basketball teams on their district tournaments this weekend! The B team won a nail-biter in their opening game, defeating McKinney Dowell 16–15. They fought hard against Prosper Rogers in the semifinals but came up short after giving it their all. B Team MVP: Caroline McCarty The C team also opened tournament play against McKinney Dowell, winning 28–14. In their next game, they defeated Prosper Reynolds 24–12. The championship game against Prosper Rogers was a close one, but the girls pulled it out with a 16–14 victory to take the title! C Team MVPs: Game 1 vs. Dowell: Allie O’Connor & Alexa Baker Game 2 vs. Reynolds: Claire Pincoffs & Faith Carlson Game 3 vs. Rogers: Molly Harper & Olivia Brack The coaches are proud of the effort, teamwork, and determination shown by both teams throughout the tournament and this season.
