On Saturday, September 14th, the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams competed in the Texas Classic Volleyball Tournament. Both teams had a similar finish and even played the same middle school in the first round of the gold bracket. The day was filled with competitive play from start to finish and I know our girls as a whole program grew. It was fun getting to support and watch our 8th graders play as well. We were able to ref their final match of the day! Pool Play: Pool Game 1: HPMS vs Rodriguez HP wins! 25-18 HP 25-21 HP Pool Game 2: HPMS vs Ford HP wins! 25-20 HP 25-20 HP Pool Game 3: HPMS vs Rushing Rushing wins 25-19 Rushing 25-17 Rushing Bracket Play: The girls opened bracket play in the gold bracket against Ereckson Middle School just like the 8th grade team. Unfortunately, we also lost in 3 very competitive sets. Coach Cohen and I are both extremely proud of our girls! They tried new things and were successful and have already shown great growth!
